April 2
As I write this, I am sitting at my son and daughter-in-law’s table watching Kim feed our grandson. For some reason that is only known to babies, Ryan-our 7-week-old grandson, has decided that nighttime is not a good time to sleep. We have been babysitting for Julianne so she can get some sleep. Since we drive to Riverside, we obviously take Cali along to play with her very best friend Kirby. Both dogs love playing together. I try to take them for their daily walk. All they need to see is their red leashes and they get so excited. I am sure they are going to jump right out of their dog suits. What makes you excited? Try looking for something to be excited about. It doesn’t have to be anything big. Perhaps it could be a flower you haven’t noticed before, a bird’s song, a neighbor’s friendly wave, the clouds, or the joy of being alive. Next time you see something small and it makes you smile; it might be God’s leash preparing you for a walk.
