Cali and I went on a run this morning. Since the humidity levels were slightly up, we felt exhausted after the run. It is amazing how a slight variation of temperature can affect a perfectly good run. Cali drank water like it was going out of style and I slumped in the patio chair grumbling about whether.
After showering and feeling refreshed, I reflected on how perturbed I was over the humidity. I could have thanked the Lord for the ability to run, for an awesome dog, or for another day to enjoy.
Philippians 2:14 states, “Do everything without complaining and arguing…” (NLT).
I guess we all fall into the trap of allowing small things in life to ruin the larger perspective. Next time you feel grumpy, ask yourself whether life is really that bad or whether you are only experiencing a small rise in humidity.
