September 23-A Night Run

Neither Cali nor I had the opportunity to work out yesterday morning. The day went by and we were getting the evening jitters. I decided to don my headlamp and off we went. It is interesting to run at night, especially on the PE trail. The many distractions of the day were dimmed by the night sky and the objects within the light of my head lamp captured my attention.

Luke 8:14 tells a story of God’s Word spreading to the hearts of humanity. “The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity” (NAS).

Have you become so distracted by world news, COVID-19 updates, and depressing life stories that you find it difficult to hear God’s voice? Are the thorns of life suppressing the goals God has for you? Perhaps God is trying to narrow your focus to what really matters. I would suggest to let God take you for a night run.
