Cali did not get to walk or run this morning. By the time I was able to take her, it was too hot and smokey from the mountain fires. Later this evening, the weather had cooled down enough for us to take a night walk. Cali was ecstatic. Her excitement for a night walk was way over the top and she could not wait to start. Even though the sidewalks were dark, and I found it hard to see up ahead, Cali was not distracted for even a moment. She could see things clearly.
Psalm 91:5-6 states, “You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day; of the pestilence that stalks in darkness…” (NAS).
Sometimes we do not always get our wishes granted nor do things always work out the way we hope. During times such as these, do not let your trust in God waiver. He always knows what is best for you. Do not let the dark sidewalks of life distract you. Trust God during your night-time walks and learn to walk with confidence. God has excellent night vision.
