Cali and I were running today along our usual path. Fortunately, the sky was a bit cloudy and the temperature was cool enough for us to enjoy our workout. As we were running in a westerly direction, I noticed my shadow out in front of me. As I looked ahead, all I could see was Cali and my shadow. It looked kind of funny-a shadow of a man hooked onto a running dog.
My thoughts went to what the Apostle Paul stated about Heaven. “Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely” (NAS).
Paul is saying that while on earth, we can only imagine heavenly things. While looking at the picture, one can see Cali perfectly, however, the runner is only a shadow. If you are experiencing troubles right now, try to imagine what God has in store for you. While we make our journey through life, know that God has his leash on you and is leading you to a heavenly reward.
