I have had Cali for two months now and her training is going well. When we run or walk together, Cali is learning to sit whenever I stop at an intersection or entrance to a mobile park. When running together, she is learning to stay on my right side and away from my feet. However, Cali has a tremendous fascination for little dogs. I am not sure whether she wants to play with them or eat them. Most of all, Cali is learning to follow my lead by a gentle pull or tug on her leash. If go right, I pull the leash gently to the right and we go to the right. The same with the left. I am very pleased with her progress since, at first, getting her to go in any direction was like driving a Mack truck without power steering. I wonder if our relationship with God is somewhat the same. Does God have to jerk your chain to get your attention or do you follow His gentle lead. Galatians 5:25 states, If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit” (NAS). Have a blessed day and try to respond to God’s gentle pull on your leash.
