Cali loves to run isolated roads. She can run freely without a leash and her desire to explore is contagious. Cali weaves from side to side sniffing the bushes and chasing small critters. Cali enjoys running to the edge of the canyons and looking over the side. She has a strong desire to see what lies below the road and does not want to miss anything.
After the Children of Israel left Egypt, Pharaoh sent his armies after them. The Israelites were terrified when they saw the soldiers approaching. Moses said to them, “…Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever. The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent (Exodus 14:13-14; NAS).
Do you feel like the armies of Egypt are coming after you? These armies might take the form of anxiety, depression, fear of the present or future, a difficult decision, or some unexpected news.
While traveling through life’s rocky road, take time to explore the sides and see what God has for you in the bushes. He wants you to have joy and excitement. Do not let the armies of life defeat you. The sides of your road might appear to drop off suddenly. However, God is telling you, “Go ahead and explore the sides and do not fear the edge.”
