Cali and I are close to finishing rehab. Her paws appear much better and she is running around the yard. My knee is slowly healing, and I am walking without a limp. Cali and I miss our runs together. During her rehab time, Cali decided that she likes the indoors. She lays on the floor and sleeps. However, she desperately prefers her outside activities.
Kim went out the front door yesterday and Cali jumped on the couch to see where she had gone. She wanted to make sure momma dog (that’s Kim) was not going to do something fun without her. Cali got up on the couch and stared out at Kim. She had never done this before. Apparently, Cali was done with rehab.
Cali reminded me how we should keep our spiritual eyes on God as hers were on Kim. Micah 7:7 states, “But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me” (NAS). During life’s trials, we need to keep our focus on God’s promises. Stay in His word and expect God to answer. When fears emerge or doubts fill your mind, remember to stand on your spiritual couch and wait for God’s deliverance.
