The other evening, I decided to relax. I laid on the couch, put my feet up, and read a book. Cali decided to join me. Cali has found it difficult to stay inside. She prefers to stay outside and lay by the screen door. Whenever we let her in, she wanders the rooms and heads back out. Lately, Cali has begun to acclimated to house living. She, however, will spend most of her time in the kitchen since she knows the food comes from that room.
As I was relaxing, Cali came into the living room and laid down. She took a posture similar to mine. Instead of relaxing with a book, Cali brought in her toy football. We both reclined and rested for a while.
Ephesians 5:1-2 states, “Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God” (NLT). God calls us to imitate Christ. We should live and love as He did. If you have a desire to imitate Christ, I suggest you lay on the couch, grab His book, and begin reading.
