Today I had a rather busy day and I did not have a lot of time to spend with Cali. Earlier this evening, while Cali slept on her bed outside, I decided that she should come in the house and cool off. The last thing Kim said to me was, Not on the couch! Well, what can I say other than, “Oops-My bad.” Cali brought in her favorite toy and she jumped on the couch before I could do very much. Just look at her. Could I really push her off?
Somehow James 4:17 comes to mind right now. It states, “Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin” (NAS). I knew Kim did not want Cali on the couch especially since I had not given her a bath in a while. I also did not do much to stop her from burying herself deep in the cushions. I am so thankful for Ephesians 4:31. It states, “Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. Do you need to forgive someone on your couch? Try it, you will sleep well.
