July 1-Saying, "OK" to a Green Light

Cali has learned to sit whenever we approach stop lights or major driveways. When I tell her to sit, she sits, I keep a slight pull on her leash, and when it is safe, I say, “Ok,” and off we go. I am proud of Cali for learning to obey “sit” and “OK.” Now we have about 100 other commands to learn (lol).

Cali does not understand the meaning of a green light. She only knows when I say, “OK” then it is time to go. Psalm 23:3 states, “…He guides me in the paths of righteousness” (NAS). Life is often like Cali’s street signal. We may not understand the meaning of God’s green light. He often directs in ways we do not understand. Even though our paths are not always clear, just listen for God’s, “OK” and then continue from where you are. When life seems confusing, trust God’s lead and imagine Him saying, “OK, you have a green light.”
