Cali received a belated Christmas gift today. It was an incredibly soft and chewy lamb. She grabbed it with utmost glee and instantly ran off determined not to have it taken away. Once Cali realized this chewy gift was hers, she settled down in a comfy place and delightfully enjoyed her soft-mouth chew.
Hebrews 4:14 states, “So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe” (NLT). God has given us a Christmas gift-His son Jesus Christ. If accepted, this gift will never be taken away. God intends for us to hold fast onto His promises and not let cares and fears of this world make us feel insecure. God wants us to find a comfy place in His presence and to enjoy His gift.
I pray that I will learn to trust in God’s love and to rest assured that His gift of Jesus Christ is meant for me. Next time fears come your way, remember Jesus is your lamb. Rest in Him and have a good chew.
