I am always amazed how Cali wants to meet other dogs. It doesn’t matter what size, shape, or color of the dog-it’s a dog. She desperately wants to play with them and in her eyes, they are all equal. Just when I think our obedience training is paying off, it all goes out the window when passing another dog. I am reminded what God said to Samuel when he was sent to anoint one of Jesse’s sons as king. God said, “ Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” May we learn to see the heart of a person and not judge them by appearance, prestige, or character. Pray that God will mold your heart to see others as He sees them. Perhaps you might break old habits of judgment and find a new dog friend today.
