Cali was so excited to run outside and play yesterday morning. She had her front paws stretched up on the kitchen countertop and vigorously wiggled as she waited for me to open the sliding glass door. Cali bolted out, and suddenly halted-it was raining. Her play day was completely ruined.
I figured she needed some outside time under the patio cover. I closed the door as she looked bewildered thinking both nature and master had abandoned her. A little while later, I looked outside to see her snuggled tightly and comfortably inside her dogloo.
How many times have we faced disappointments because the rains of life ruined our schedules, plans, or dreams. I think of the times when I got so depressed or upset because life didn’t turn out my way. I believe during those times God might be telling us that He has scheduled something better for us. Psalm 32:7 states, “For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory” (NLT).
Next time the rains of life interfere with your plans, allow God to shield and protect you inside of His personal Godloo.
