Cali and I were running a fire road this morning. I noticed how she instinctively knew the smoothest path to take. I began following her path. She would run on one side of the road and then cross over to the other side. This would take place in between her chasing lizards and other noisemakers in the brush. There were times when Cali crossed to the other side that I could not understand why until we made a turn and, sure enough, the road was rough and rutted. It was kind of weird how Cali instinctively knew the smoothest route. It was like her dog pads had memory or radar-like cells in them.
Job 23:11 states, “My foot has held fast to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside” (NAS). God has given each of us a path to life. It is the Bible. Reading God’s Word gives wisdom and knowledge. If your life seems rocky and rutted, try reading the Bible. It will help you find the easy path.
