Kirby, Cali’s best friend, just came over to spend a week and one half with Cali. They were excited to see each other and began playing. I introduced them to a rope toy, and they began tugging with all their might. Apparently, the purpose of the game was to rob the other of the toy. In other words: mine, mine, mine.
Acts 2:44-45 gives an insight to the early church. It says, “And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need” (NAS).
During this time of COVID, can you think of someone with which you could share something? Perhaps you could make some cookies for someone who needs encouragement; you could do some yard work for and elderly neighbor; or you could give an hour of your time to sit and talk (social distancing of course) with someone shut in at home.
If you feel lonely yourself, try to reach out to another person. It will lift your spirits. Be willing to share your rope with someone in need.
