August 1-A Floor Swiffer

For whatever reason, I woke up early this morning and I actually got up. I took Cali for a walk and then decided to vacuum, Swiffer, and mop the floors. I was proud of my work and I knew my floors were spotlessly clean.

A little while later, Kirby came over to visit Cali. Both dogs were excited to see each other, however, the heat soon made them lethargic. I let the dogs inside to cool off. As soon as the cool air hit them, they immediately regained their energy and began wrestling all over the kitchen and living room floor. Cali, who has never learned to wipe her chin after drinking water, soaked the floor while both dogs walked through the puddles. Dirty dog feet left their marks on the floor, hair flew everywhere, and doggie treats were devoured in the kitchen.

All my work in cleaning the floors evaporated instantly. I have work to do tonight. Matthew 8:2-3 states, “And a leper came to Him and bowed down before Him, and said, ‘Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.’ Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, ‘I am willing; be cleansed.’”

Jesus is the ultimate soul cleaner. By asking Jesus to make us clean, He will wipe away all our sins and make us spotless. Unlike my floors that will get dirty again, Jesus’ cleansing will last forever. If you have never asked Jesus to cleanse you of sin, then I would encourage you to ask Him into your heart. He has a great soul Swiffer.
